Hi, I’m Michael Burke, graphic designer and visual artist.
I am based in Philadelphia, specializing in visual art direction and design, brand identity, and motion graphics. I received my B.F.A. in Graphic Design from University of the Arts. As a graphic designer, I help connect companies’ products with their target audience by creating striking and enduring designs. I am currently seeking an in‑house or agency environment where I can contribute my 10+ years of experience and passion for visual storytelling. WORK EXPERIENCE
Freelance Graphic Designer
Freelance (2020–Present)Developing visual art and design for a variety of marketing material for small businesses and musicians including logo design, album cover design, illustrations, motion graphics, and social media graphics. Partnering and consulting with clients to understand their unique vision that then informs my approach to the creation of these marketing materials.
Digital Designer
Healthfirst (2021–2025)In‑house designer working with design team to execute from inception to completion all of the various marketing and communications material for the company. Working to amplify and protect the visual brand through the development of design systems in both print and digital spaces to increase brand recognition, streamline the design process, and to create a consistent visual identity. Projects include social media campaigns, print brochures, digital provider communications, logo design, flyers, large scale environmental graphics, and website landing pages.
Graphic Designer
MOD Worldwide (2018–2020)Responsible for concept, design, and production of innovative, high quality print and digital artwork for clients such as Comcast and Aetna to support their marketing objectives. Thrived when working with other designers, strategists, and developers in MOD’s collaborative environment in order to further improve any given project through constructive feedback sessions. Projects included email campaigns, digital presentations, digital banner ads, large scale signage, and print advertisements.
Graphic Designer and Marketing Coordinator
Daroff Design (2015–2018)Redesigned and managed all new print and digital marketing materials including brand identity development, print brochure booklets, icon design, digital presentations, project proposal design, email newsletter campaigns, promotional motion graphics, updates to the CMS website, and management of the project photography library. Consulted and served clients such as Disney Springs, Comcast, and OTG for projects including signage design, wall mural graphics, and packaging design.
